Mirage

Ah, big guns, wooden decks, a classic Matsumoto battleship! Kinda reminds you of the Yamato. The Mirage suffers catastrophic mechanical failure while making a glory run on the Deathshadow, much to Captain Zero's humiliation.

Deathshadow

What's not to like about the Deathshadow? Sleek, fast technology with just the right touch of space pirate ludditry. The Jolly Roger forever waves from her mainmast in the deep vacuum of space (HOW?!?), and Captain Harlock stands on the bridge, his gloved hands gripping the wooden helm as he steers his path through the sea of stars... We know you love this stuff.

Karyu

Captain Zero has his old ship Karyu (fire dragon) refitted for service in deep space. She carries the flag of the Independent Terrestrial Fleet and remaining hope of humanity. However, her main gun, nicknamed the Saint Elmo, is highly unstable and threatens ship wide meltdown when armed. Don't think too hard about how it works, we're talking nose-bleed physics here.

Queen Emeraldas

The Queen Emeraldas (the ship, not the space pirate) resembles an armored airship supporting a square rig galleon. Emeraldas (the space pirate, not the ship) rides as companion to this mysterious, sentient ship as it seeks its destiny. What would Oprah say?

Galaxy Express

The Galaxy Railways runs passenger service to nearly every inhabited planet, including the famed Galaxy Express 999. Here's how it works: you know that bridge, the one you really hate? The one you have that nightmare about, where it goes up and up and then the ramp narrows down to a something less than the width of your car's axles? Yeah, that's the one. It's actually a mag-rail launch and recovery device to get these puppies out of the planetary gravity well. Sure, it looks cool, but let's get to Mars with something that works before thinking this big.
